Postgraduate Medical student from Pakistan

"Thank you SMA for your help. After I obtain my acceptance letter from the ministry through you, I realized my dream to become a specialist in a recognized medical school in Europe has been fulfilled. The Professor I work with understand and speak fluent English and during my post graduate clinical exposure as a student, I felt as prepared as possible as highly competent first year resident doctor. The Romanian Medical School has the perfect balance between education, fun and support making the entire course a great preparation and experience."

Safety and Security

Romania remains largely free of crime. The Romanian equivalent to the “911” emergency line is 112. English-speaking operators are available.

While most crimes in Romania are nonviolent and nonconfrontational, crimes do occur in which people get hurt. Reports of sexual assault are uncommon; however, to be safe, be vigilant, especially at night and in situations where there is alcohol. Although racial prejudice exists in Romania, especially toward those who look like Roma (“gypsies”), hate crimes are rare.

The cities we send our students to study in are considered "university towns", with a very high population of students, both foreign and local. Romania is a land of many towns, villages and small cities, all of which do not have universities. Romanian students, like foreign students, flock to "university towns" for their academic requirements.
