Medical Insurance For Students

All students who have paid their tuition fees and are less than 26 years old have an automatic health insurance and can receive free medical care when needed in the state hospitals. Students above 26 years need to purchase their health insurance from the ‘Casa de Asigurari de Sanatate’ (CAS) which is located in all Romanian cities to benefit from Medical care offered by state hospitals. The health insurance coverage is valid for 1 year and must be renewed every year. The health insurance costs about €100-120 EUR for 12 months (for those above 26 years of age).
